LIVESTER

LIVESTER is a research project funded by the Abruzzo Region and co-funded by the European Union under Intervention 1.1.1.1 of the Abruzzo 2021-2027 ERDF Regional Programme. Its goal is to create a high-quality Metaverse with specific applications in the B2B luxury and real estate sectors.
The project aims to create an interactive and engaging experience by integrating advanced tools such as artificial intelligence,** cloud streaming**, and blockchain technologies. Its flexibility makes it adaptable to multiple scenarios, from fashion product presentations to large corporate conferences.
Innovation for the Metaverse
LIVESTER aims to build a set of functionalities that offer an immersive and personalized streaming experience, serving as a foundation for various applications. These include solutions for corporate events and conferences, luxury product presentations, and platforms for virtual exhibitions. The developed tools will allow luxury brands to organize exclusive events, while also providing an innovative shopping experience in virtual environments, guided by a personalized chatbot that enhances the customer experience.
Enabling Technologies
The project is built on an advanced technological integration. The main research areas focus on AI segmentation to move beyond traditional green screens; on optimizing cloud streaming for real-time graphics rendering with Unreal Engine 5; and on developing reusable blueprints that ensure an intuitive user experience and the immediate import of 3D and multimedia assets. Additionally, the project explores the integration of Web Conferencing solutions for fluid conversations and the adoption of Large Language Models (LLM) and personalized chatbots for intelligent customer assistance. Finally, the use of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and blockchain will enable the secure management of digital assets such as dynamic NFTs (dNFTs), paving the way for new forms of interaction and commerce in the Metaverse.
The initiative is financially supported by the Abruzzo Region and co-funded by the European Union. The project was approved as part of Intervention 1.1.1.1 of the Abruzzo 2021-2027 ERDF Regional Programme, with the goal of supporting research and innovation projects that fall under the Regional Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3 Abruzzo 21-27).
