Pater, is the cultural heritage portal of the Emilia-Romagna Region has been renewed: over 250,000 assets, including works of art, everyday objects, oral traditions, and historical documents, are now more accessible and connected than ever.

It’s not just a visual redesign: thanks to the integration with the Samira platform, the portal offers advanced search and management features, from condition reports to asset handling. All of this is delivered through a fully redesigned navigation experience that presents content via new narrative pathways.

The evolution of the Cultural Heritage Catalogue

The portal combines advanced functionalities with a completely redesigned interface: consulting and managing digital content has become more innovative, accessible, and intuitive.

The narrative pathways highlight cultural assets and multiply opportunities for discovery, conveying the meaning and complexity of cultural landscapes.

The Samira platform

Samira is Dot Beyond’s software platform dedicated to the enhancement of cultural heritage. Flexible and intuitive, it allows for comprehensive management of descriptive and multimedia content, configurable for every type of asset.

The management evolution has introduced new modules for asset handling, conservation, condition reporting, cultural spaces, and rural architecture, enabling complete management of the collections.

The platform supports content access through web portals, making cultural heritage more accessible and enhanced, also through narrative pathways and a richer, more immersive digital experience.

Thanks to the integration between the Samira management platform and the PatER system, the portal provides dedicated tools for searching, enhancing and accessing the cultural heritage of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
